91 convertible clunking noise
My 91 makes a clunking noise when braking at low speed. The noise happens just as it's about to fully stop. It doesn't matter if it's in reverse or drive. It is most noticeable when the wheel is turned. It seems to come from the rear. I have had everything checked in the suspension & brakes & they find nothing. They say it's normal ... But it started right after I had the all the brakes & redone by the same shop. Any hints? Thanks.

I have had the same noise for a couple of years now and nothing fell apart yet.
This is not my Vet but my family car.
I took it back to the dealer a few times after they did a brake job and they kept telling me it's nothing.
I think it's just the noise the brake pads make when they grab the rotors.
No big deal just a pain.

Hey, schoon - my shop said don't worry about it either .... At least it wasn't a mystery noise & they heard it! In your case, was the pad or rotor alignment checked? I was reading something about that as a possibility but didn't ask them to specifically look into that.
