RE: Code 24 and speedo reads 0
Work has been killing me lately (oncall last 3 weeks). I finally pulled the Instrument cluster out. I found arepair tag indicating Jimmy's Radio in Phoenix made the repair onAugust 15th, 1994. I guess this instrument cluster was a problem back then too. I should have it in the mail in a couple days, so maybe I'll have it back for 4th of July[&:]
Pulling the instrument cluster was pretty easy.

Here are a few pictures of the Instrument Cluster. Easy to remove, take off the bezel, four screws attach the instrument cluster to the dash. 3 screws attaching the dash top, ease it out, pull back the metal connector clips, and pry the connectors out of the socket.

Take your time. You'll have it out, and on the bench, in 20 minutes. Remember to use a grounding strap when working around electronics, to reduce risk ofstatic shock damage.

I'm still chasing ghost myself, replaced all the wiring in the steering column to get rid of a "blown fuse" problem in my tail light circuit..............didn't help, though my turn signal switch operates like new now and doesn't just dangle their anymore like it was.....so all wasn't lost. I have'nt even attemped chasing the "0" speedo, I was kinda waiting for you. Mine hasn't done that in a while (I haven't went for a real long ride though to test it lately)
