I have a 1991 convertible. When riding with the top down,it rattles and makes noise like it is hitting something.It does not do it with the top up.I have looked everwhere and cannot see anything hitting or rubbing.ANY SUGGESTIONS !!!!

 

I have an 87 conv't, and when I put the top down, I make sure that when it folds into the "trunk" that it is well into the trunk. To accomplish this, I make sure that any peripherals I don't need are removed from the trrunk so that the top fits in well. The frame may be banging on the lid, or if your Vette was in a previous accident, then there may be distortion. Have a good look around, and in, your trunk. Ensure that all folding parts in the frame are solid and not loose. Good luck.
