Default Crate Motor

I'm looking at the possibility of changing my engine this winter. Anyone have any information as far as a new motor? I have a sweet 90 Roadster which I plan on keeping for some time. The motor now has about 97k. I'm looking to replace the L98 5.7 with the same, nothing extreme.

I am studying that subject right now. if i were to replace my complete engine, I would bolt in a gm zz383-425 hp @ 5400 & 460 ft. lbs. @4500 WOW that would be fun!!!! i would also port my tpi & put it on that motor.. It will run out of air @ 5500 but thats all i need. however my car only has 90,000. miles & runs as it should being stock. I am also toying with the idea of exhaust, a chip, & ratio rockers. I would like to hear from others who have done the same. good luck!

89, that's the direction that I'm going in. I have a sweet 90 roadter just turning 100,00 so before I have issues I want to think about a crate motor or maybe sending the L98 out to be rebuilt. What sites have you researched for motors. I'm told that when I bought my car last November that I have the K & N air filter, chip, exhaust etc... Any advice would help. Thanks

go to www.crateenginedepot.com you can see them all. how do you like the way yours runs with the mods you have. I am afraid of doing that & still wanting more. I have ordered the exhaust because that has to be done no matter what engine you have.
