Smile cruise control and owners manual

hi everyone havent left a post in awhile but hope everyone is doing well....i have one issue with my 84 vette, when i use the cruise it will just all of a sudden start gaining speed until i hit the brake pedal....it does it consistently and use to work fine...does anyone have an idea of what it could be and how to go about fixing it.....also i was wondering if anyone had an owners manual for an 1984 corvette that i could get as well as the rear CORVETTE emblem, its original colors were black letters with red trim...the car is red...lol....i do appreciate everyones time in this and please have a safe but fun corvette experience....thank you bill

More than likely, the cruise module is bad. You can also get that emblem from www.eckllers.com

Almost has to be what L.B. said unless theres something causing the "accel" button to stick or that wire shorted to something? Could one of the vacuum hoses have succumbed to age and swelled up inside not letting it flow properly? I got an owner's manual for mine from Corvette Central.I'll bet Eckler's has it too.
