Default Horns, mirrows, and cruise control

When parking my 1989 vette today I usually use manual doorlook but today I accidentally hit the auto doorlock and my horns just starting blowing. I unplugged horns. I kinda sounds like I have an electrical short in doorlock switch. Amazing enough my cruise control (and mirrows)didn't work so I checked fuses and the 3 amp fuse was blown. I replaced and tried to adjust mirrows and twice now I saw a little puff of smoke come from mirrow switch. This also sounds like mirrow switch may have a short. I thought of taking negative cable off of battery and have some things reset and plugging horns back in but hate to have horns go off while I away from vehicle. I just bought vette a month ago. Any help is greatly appreciated. Mike

This is pretty ugly bro...

Which fuse was toast?

Disable all three(pull the ground). Re-enable one, then disable it, re-enable another, disable it, then the third, to find if one individually is the offender, or a combination of two is bad, or, if only all three together is the cause.

Where are you on this?
