84 is not controlled by ECM, but has it's own control module. There are still tests to check voltage supply through the column switch. Have to drop the driver side cover above brake pedal, unplug wiring connector to check voltage supply, the switch side you have to check continuity on all switch posistions which will be impossible to do unless you have information on which posistion has continuity on which pins.

 

Sounds Like I would be better off letting the mechanic take a crack at this one. Thanks for the info.
