Hatch release question for my '96

Hello Everyone,

The hatch release behind the driver door does not work anymore. The release inside in the center console works and the remote also works. Does anyone have any ideas on this? Thanks in advance.

Might be the contact switch. All it does is trip a relay to apply power to your release switch in the back.

Thanks for the quick response and help for this problem. Can you give me an idea as to where I can find this contact switch? Is it behind the door panel or somewhere else. Thanks again.

The contact switch is the hatch release you are referring to. I just used different terminology (LOL). Sorry.

if it is the switch you can pick one up at ecklers corvette for aroud 10.00 bucks

If you have an ohm meter, you can check the operation of the switch to see if it is not working. [8D]
