Default Headers!!

Hello, I am new to the forum and I have a 96 modified Corvette. I love this car and it has won me many a race over the years and plenty of trophies. However, due to a recent loss to an unnamed sedan on a clear night at the local strip, I decided to add one more mod and I am considering headers. I was looking at some shorty headers in some catalogs but was wondering if anyone has any suggestions and if they are direct bolt on and worth the investment. Please give me some feedback as I need to hunt down that sedan that beat me and redeem myself!

Long tube headers are much better: they give you more power than shorty headers and much better low end torque.

Everyone I have talked to says Hooker headers are the best; make sure you get the ceramic coated ones. They have models that include EGR and AIR compatibility and ones that do not.

Langenfelter also has excellant headers if you can find them; apparently they are not produced anymore.

Im no expert, im just repeating what i have heard.

Jet Hot coating much better than ceramic because it is coated inside and out. Ceramic just on the outside and will rust quicker. I have a set of Hooker Ceramics Super Comp on my '69 Camaro and they are rusting. Been on there for 3 years.
