in the next week or two im going to get exhaust for my new 95 vette, the only thing is that i dont no what kind. i was thinking about 40 series flowmaster cus it has a good rumble to it. and another thing should i go with an x-pipe or stay with a y-pipe Gracias

 

the X pipe will allow for a smoother flow to your exhaust. with the y pipe you have some flow restriction where the gases funnel into the bottom of the "y"..I like the flowmaster, and i like the X pipe idea if you want to get a little more out of it. however, some places have laws against rerouting the exhaust shape. where do you reside?

 

i live in houston texas were its probally illegal

 

well, go to a shop that does state emissions and ask them. they will be able to tell you what is legal.

 

Definitely go for the X-pipe. I have a Corsa exhaust on my '00 vert, and I'm very happy with it. I would think the manufacturer of your exhaust will be able to tell you what states it is legal in. Good luck with your decision.

i think that the Xpipe is ususally 50 state legal, so long as it has factory dual outlets...states like ca and pa both require that if the vehicle came stock with one exhaust tip, it cant have duals, even if only fake duals...[:@]

 

Who makes some of the better full exhaust systems. Or if there are only like y pipe back exhausts, then who makes them and whose is better. Which sounds better and which makes the more HP / TQ?
