Default how do I tell if Z51?

I have a '90 coupe and it looks to be pretty well optioned...90 way adj sport seats lol..acrylic targa..etc..The thing is I'm pretty much brand new to Corvettes..well Chevys in general.I've had my share of fox bodies and old Dodges and got to know where to look on the car for tags with decodeable info on them.I cant find anything other than the vin tag on my car that would help me.Is there any way to determine if it is a Z51 car without a build sheet or something?
Thanx
Ronnie

Look on the console door. There should be a sticker there with a series of letters and numbers in groups of three. I'm not entirely sure where it is on a 90 but that's where it is on my 93. Look through the list for Z51. If it's there, it was an installed factory option on the vheicle. Another place to look is on the storage compartment doors the back floor where the FX3 controls would be if you have FX3 adjustable suspension. Z51 was only available with manual transmission and coupe. If the sticler was removed at some point in time, you could try calling the Corvette Museum and try to talk them into giving you that information. They will sell you a reprobuild sheet for your car and alsothewindow sticker.

Check the sticker on the driver side door.It should tell you the tire size your car came with.More than likely,if you have 275's all around,it could be a Z51.Also,turn your wheel lock to lock.If it goes 2 1/4 turns,it may be one as well. Also check your console door or behind the passenger seat where the jack is.There you should find a bunch of codes pertaining to everything that originally came on your car.Another thing, maybe you can become a member of the Corvette Museum, like I did.Send them your vin,and tell you EVERYTHING you need to know about your car, right down to which # yours was out of that year's production total.Hope this helps.Your friend,Joe.

1990 Corvette sticker is definitely on the back side of the center console door unless the door has been replaced and the owner didn't transfer the sticker to the new door.

The other option you have is to get a build sheet from the NCM. While you're at it, get a window sticker for it too. Both are somewhat pricy but well worth it in my opinion...

The build sheet for my 1990 Corvette says it was built for a "special event or person". I suspect this probably means it was simply ordered by someone.
