RE: How to install a hypertech thermal chip?
I have a 92 and I installed exactly what you have. You take the ecm cover off and there are two clips that hold the prom in. Undo those and pull the prom out. Make sure you pay attention to the way it goes back in. Plug your Hypertech chip into the prom (piggy back it) and plug the prom back in the way it came out. Fasten the clips, put on the cover and off you go.
Here is a link with the instructions from Hypertech. http://www.hypertech.com/get_install...ion.php?iid=76
You may have to install (and Hypertech recommended I do this) a 160* thermostat also they said that if you don't your fans may run continous and thats not good.

The same chip that works in the 1992 will work in the 1994. That same chip works in in 1984-1995 cars. As long as its OBDI it will work http://www.hypertech.com/product_searchvehicle.html
