How reliable is the 4 plus 3 Trans?

How reliable is the 4 plus 3 Trans?
I am looking at a 1988 coupe with 91K miles, owner is digging out the maintenance records that say trans seals re placed and engine seals replaced what are some of the other things that can bite you in the aaa on this model? any ideals greatly appreciated. Dave in Tampa
