Hi all
Have a code 43 which I beleive is the knock censor system this is on a 92 LS1. I havnt chk the wires yet and I will soon but the question is are the sencors (2) tough to get out and should I drain the cooling system? Anybody had to do this one?

You don't have to drain the cooling system, the knock sensor is just screwed into a boss on the side of the block.

Edited to add...I've read somewhere on this forum that you can take a small hammer or a wrench and tap on the side of the block while the engine is running, and if the timing retards (lowers), the knock sensor is working.
