Default My 1st post..

Hello out there in Corvette-land! Finally got my first 'Vette - a 1994 LT1 - auto - and I look forward to learning much from this forum as well as giving some back as time goes on and knowledge is gained. Just let me say THANKS! up-front for all the help I know I will receive from those who monitor and contribute to this "Corvette Brain Trust" from a C4 owner who will do much of his own "wrenching".

A couple of initial questions:

My Auto Climate Control switches to "auto" whenever I re-start the car, even though I switched it to "Off" before I shut the car down - Normal ?

Headliner - The fabric for the top panel is sagging away from the foam padding - foam appears to be in good shape. Does the padding just peel off on the inside of the top panel so that the fabric can be re-glued or is there some dis-assembly of the inner frame of the panel that needs to take place 1st. I would like to be able to just re-stick the fabric if I could.

TIA, Y'all![sm=icon_cheers.gif]

Its not normal for the ACC to go back to the"auto" position once its been turned off even after a restart, it should stay in the "off" position until it is turned to "auto" or another setting.

Thanx, guys. I figured that "off - auto" deal was not right, but it's not a big problem. Will probably take a new control assy. to correct, as I tried the "Reset" function described on the Owner's Manual with no change. Will try the headliner fix this week-end & post my results ASAP.

ttfn...

Did you get your headliner replaced over the weekend? If not search this forum for headliner. I posted it with the steps I went through to replace mine!!! (I had the same question about taking the frame apart)

Thanx, Guys. I pulled the headliner pad off on Sun. - no big deal. Just used a putty knife & my fingers to work around the edges - into the middle and off. I'm going to try & find some thin carpet-pad type of foam to replace it with (need the headroom - I'm 6'4") [&:]

I haven't had a chance to see is I can pull the codes like Viscount suggested - butI also discovered that I get no heat thru the vents - just A/C or fresh air no matter what the temp setting is AND the little green lite above button that's activated flashes. Owner's Man. says that's an elect. fault or low freon signal. I'm thinking my HVAC panel might be goin' south.................[&o]
