engine mods for the 84 are hard to find because of the cross fire deal (trust me i own one and i love it in my eyes 84 was a turning page in the corvette book of life) the mods i have found and did to mine are a little pricey you can also install a MSD ignition that will help performance. do NOT waste your money on a hyperchip you WILL NOT notice a difference with it. heres the link to what i have put on mine and i was very satisfied with the results but so was my credit card company.

The first thing you have to do is go all over the car and make sure that it is mechanically sound. There is no sense in going fast if you can't stop or turn. After a good inspection, start going through the Mid-America, Summit and Jegs catalogs. Some dislike the Cross-Fire injection but it can be made to run but it's never going to be a barn burner. Simple things like a new chip and some headers and exhaust will help but again, it's not going to be a rocket ship. The next step gets you to start replacing engine components like heads, induction, fuel injection and cams. If you are looking for just a cheap thrill, look into nitrous injection. I don't know of one for a cross ram but if you do some searching, I'm sure you can find one. If the motor isn't strong and has allot of miles, adding nitrou will be a crap shoot on how badly you damage it.

One word of caution. Corvettes are fantastic machines capable of making you almost superman behind the wheel. When they sart to go away in the sticking to the road department, they do it all at once and you find yourself a passenger holding onto a steering wheel. Please becareful with it as I know allot of younger people that never made the second payment on their new corvette.
