In Richard Newton's book '101 Projects for your CORVETTE 1984 - 1996", project 25, on page 71 'Improved Shifting for the 4+3 he talks about a Reverse Lockkout Lever. I am having trouble locating the part. I've tried Corvette Central but the part has been discontinued. Does anyone know where I can get one?

 

FYI mine, an 86, has a ring around the shifter just under the **** that you have to pullup on to go into reverse, otherwise you are locked out of revese. I thought this was original equiptment not an add on. Good Luck!
