New to Forum_Advice on 88 roadster purchase
Found a 88 roadster in dark blue. Interior is light blue and worn. Car has 156k miles, new top, Z06 wheels & tires,paint little dull, cannot hear run. The car was towed in last time it was out and the owner passed away the following week. Automatic has been rebuilt. Car is from Florida. All else looks good.
What would you offer for vette that might need major engine overhaul?
Are frames bad to rust out towards the rear on C4's like earlier vette's?
Asking $6700 OBO. I'm thinking around $4500-5000 as the motor is questionable and the leather is cracked.
Am I crazy?

This actually look fairly good.
I purchased a 94 z28 from FL 154k miles, supposedly blown engine.
It had a bad opti spark, runs like a champion now
I paid $1,800 but it was in rough shape, since replaced shocks, ball-joint, tie-rods, bushings. Not expensive just PITA work.

Owner passin' away (from old age???), and Z06 rims don't jibe. I smell smoke.Car's setting looks low-rent. Little extra smoke...
