Default Paint type recommendations for underside hood

I’ve researched previous posts here about repainting the underside of C4 hoods black again. Most recommend Krylon brand black paint. Is that paint high temp? Is high temp paint necessary for the underside of the hood? I used a Duplicolor perfect match flat black paint to repaint mine. Talked to a rep for Duplicolor and was told the paint resists heat up to 120 degrees. Has anyone here used a paint for the underside of their C4 hood that wasn’t high temp and had no issues?

Good question, if you think temperature is an issue you could use flat black barbequer temp paint. I use it on exhaust pipes.

My guess is that any paint that you use that has the same property of withstanding temperature as the lacquer paint on the outside of the hood, then you should be good. In other words just about any paint is going to work.
