All of a sudden, (naturally), my vette decides it doesn't want to idle. Used to start right up
when just turning the key and now to get it to start I have to pump the gas pedal. RPMs build ok, no hesitation but whenit goes into dead stop/idle it dies.

Fuel tank is full with BP Premium, Tune Up (plugs, vacuum ck, egr ) done a year and 1000 miles ago. Only thing I am thinking is could be an old fuel filter or maybe vacuum ?

Not throwing any codes, only check engine light when dies.

Any ideas ? Thank you.

 

Check fuel pressure at rails to be sure it is within spec. Check IAC (idle air control).

on weather) and I'll definitely mention those possibilities. Appreciate it.

 

Mechanic said it could have been cause the car sat in the garage awhile and had to run to get computer idle speed to reprogram itself. Said it wouldn't throw a code for that.

He also replaced fuel filter as mine on the '90 was orig eqpt with 64M miles on it. Doing fine now.
