The drives seat in my just purchased 1991 Vette is all the way back, and the motor just clicks. If I could move the seat I could access the nuts to remove the seat and fix or replace the motor. Can power seats be moved manually? Can I release the drive gear and push the seat forward? How can I access the rear nuts holding the seat?

 

have you tried lifting the seat cousion and getting at them. There are a couple connectors in the bottom of the seat. Release them and the bottom comes right up. I don't remember for sure but I think they are in the back of the seat bottom.
