Default Seat Cover Installation

Has anyone attempted to install their own new seat covers. If so, does anyone have instructions or do they know if there instructions online anywhere. Any help with this would be appreciated!! THANKS!

Mid america sells the kit and it comes with instructions....You could do a google searh. You might be better off having a professional do it or atleast ask them for a few pointers.[&:]

Thanks for the tips, I got the covers from a friend who also had a 90 model and sold it before he was able to install them. It doesn't look that complicated, but I may end up getting them done professionally, I just hate trusting my car to other people, I like to do my own work. I will look for that kit, thanks forthe help.

If you have the new covers and the foam it's a ten minute job,if you just have the covers go to a pro. It's the old story.Try to save 20 bucks here and end up spending two hundred there!!

Wise words. If you screw it up, your outta the money. If the professionals screw it up, then they gotta pay for it. Goodluck[&:]

Great, did you need any special tools? And did you buy new foam?

The only thing I purchased besides the covers was hog ring pliers and the rings. I reused the old foam since it was in decent shape, I did have to urathane a couple of spots. I reused all the old clips and pin. This was the first time I have ever attempted anything like this and they came out great. I took my time and noted how the originals where on, and took my time reinstalling the new ones. Btw I purchased the new covers in leatherette and they were 2nd choice from an Ebayer through Corvette America, there wasn't a damn thing wrong with them and they look exactly like leather. I got em for $252. Iwould embed a pic if I could figure out how.
