Default Strange thing last night

I was coming back from visiting a friend last night, had been on the interstate for about 25 mins, avg speed of about 77 mph, nothing crazy. I get off at my exit and begin down shifting through the gears to slow down, 5,4,3,2,1. I stop at the light and when it turns green i begin to go... First gear is fine, but when i get to second, the engineskips one time and the check engine light comes on. The light was on for about 15 seconds and then goes off. No other skips or anything... any ideas. (95 LT1)

I had this momentary skip once on my new '02 5.7 bowtie 1 ton. Actually it had 130k on it, but I knew it inside and out after buyin' it new. It happened first time on the freeway - just one miss, no light, and in the next 4-5 days, just a few more times, when shiftin' (auto). 10 days or so, a quick light, that went away...

A week later, no worse, no better. I took it to the dealer.

He showed me the rectangular drive shaft inside the distributor drive shaft, which was wearin' out-of-round inside the shaft. $660 for somethin' I could have done myself for <$100 and my time. And the time woulda' been 20 minutes - pop the van cowl, and it's right there, while you're in the driver's seat.[&:]

I don't know if I coulda' found that one tho'; even with a light...

Is ita 95 OBDI or OBDII? Because if its OBDI you don't need a scan tool. Some 95's have OBDII. If its OBDI then use the infor in thise link: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...mp;postcount=3
