the automatic trans. shifter locked up. It will not shift out of park. I have had it to lock before but I could always wiggle it and it would release. Am wondering what the problem may be. The car is under the carport and will be a problem getting it out to get to shop for any repairs. I am hoping I can do the repairs myself if it is not to involved.

I think there is a brake pedal switch that is involved with the auto trans shifter release........ maybe?........ good luck....... cjs
