on my 1985 the tail lights went out so i checked the fuse and it was blown. i replaced with correct one and blew again went a size larger blew again. as soon as i pull on the light switch they immediately blow, could i need a light switch replacement

 

please, really need help on this one, as i can't drive at night. if no answer could someone direct me to a site that may have the answer. thanx in advance

 

Doubt if the switch is bad. Need to check for a short to ground on the light circuit front and back lights. Do you have an ohm meter? Start unplugging lights and wiring harness's first to try and isolate the problem. Use your ohm meter on the load side of the fuse to check for the short instead of using a bunch of fuses.
