Default Targa top

Hey every one! Been slowly, over the last few weeks becoming more familiar with my 84. This may seem stupid but I can't seem to get my Targa top off. I have taken out all the bolts on the back side and it is obviously loose but it does not want to come apart in the front. All I have is a chilton manual and it tells you diddly squat about the targa top. Can someone help.

You mentioned the bolts in the back. I think there are two in the front, too. If there, did you loosen them?

Ya there are 2 bolts at the front that are recessed in. Use the ratchet to loosen them up. And the bolts in front will not actually come out, but the targa top should lift off for ya.
