Trouble starting when hot

RE: Trouble starting when hot
I checked for spark when it was hot and there was spark when it wasn't starting. Seems like its a fuel problem? I noticed when it is hot and at an idyl when I step on the gas it feels like its not getting fuel and then it dies and won't start. Anybody have a problem with no fuel when hot?
Thanks

RE: Trouble starting when hot
Had the same problem a few years ago on my 1989. Found the right side injectors were leaking down into the engine after shutting the motor off. Let it sit for a 20 to 30 minutes and it would fire. The shop replaced the injectors. The problem was caused by a bad computer, the right side of the motor was pushing raw gas thru the engine.A few times the starter would feel like it locked up,think gas was building up in the right cylinders and acted like a hydrulic lock.Once we got the injectors and new computer installed it ran like a champ. Not a cheap fix, but it worked. With all the raw gas running thru it burned out the cat., so that had to be replaced also.

2 more things to do. Have you got a noid light? Noid light is for plugging into an injector harness to see if you have pulse. Also use a fuel pressure gauge to see if you have at least 30lbs of fuel pressure KOEO and in cranking mode. Well documented problems with fuel pump relays as your car has redundant voltage supply to the fuel pump. It has a relay and an oil pressure/fuel pump switch that energizes when certain oil pressure is reached making for delayed start times if the relay fails.
