1990 - L98: Will someone tell me the "Chilton" labor time ( or ) an approximate labor time to remove and replace the valve cover gaskets on my C-4? Any time saving hints would be great too. Need to get started on it but also need to allow proper time. My shade tree is very small. Thanks j

 

How experienced are you with Auto mechanics? Now I'm not sure how different your L98 is from my LT1 but I could change out the gaskets in my LT1 in about an hour and a half without too much trouble (allowing for cleaning things up and primping the engine in that area). If you are inexperienced then I'd allow 3 hours.

 

Thanks Tom. Some difference. Took me about 1-1/2 hrs. with changing plugs. Stretched it into 2 days with detailing too. Ready to go Sunday. Thanks again. j
