I must have snatched the coin from masters hand
and got lucky. After running the car in idle for 1 hour
and later driving it moderately for several days, it
dried out and runs fine.
I think I will go with the cup of water, degreaser, and toothbrush
as metioned previously. $500 for an optispark aint pretty

I'd also recommend you examine all your coolant hoses. If they are old, they could fail and spew coolant all over the place and would contaminate your opti. I'd replace all of them just to be safe (which is what I later did). This happened to me, and I did have to spend $550 for a new opti.
