Wiper and Turn Signal Arm

RE: Wiper and Turn Signal Arm
Just did that on my 86. Kinda a pain, especially if you don't have a wheel puller and knowledge of how the telescoping wheel and tilt mechinism works. The assembly has a wire loom the snakes through the column for the cruise control. Eckler's was the only place in the country I found that had a new one. Even after market outlets have discontinued them. It looks simple, but not quite. So if you do it, make sure and take careful note of how things come apart and reassemble, especially the telescoping part.

I just had mine replaced at the dealership and the whole assembly and labor was $600.00. The new control arm doesn't look like the original one. My car is a 92 with an airbag but no telescoping wheel. I wasn't even going to attempt it since it has the airbag.
