Default C3 wiper arm catching on hood

I have a 1982 where the wiper arm is hitting the hood, is there an easy adjustment to fix this? Possible happening because we put newer style wiper blades on?

Check to see if you bent the arm when you changed blades, easy to happen.
If ya still have the old wipers, hold one up to the new ones and see if there's a height dif.
Is the arm/wiper springing back to lay the blade firmly on the windsheild?
Is it just one, or both wipers?
What, on the wiper is hitting the hood and where, is it hitting on the hood?
Let me guess, passenger side only, about 20" from the right rear corner of the hood (sitting in the car),
towards the center, where the blade and arm hook together?

Default Thanks for the info

We are going to try a set of correct OEM blades and see if that works, if not we will reply to the questions you posed below. The car is not where I am at, my brother in law is buying the car and just got it out in the rain and discovered this problem. I put newer style blades on it in 2005 but never drove it in the rain so did not know there was an issue.

Get "Trico" wiper blade #16-2 and refill #43-160
There low profile and slide under the hood with room to spare.
