WONT START!! HELP!!
i have an 89 manual trans. i installed a new fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator. i got new gaskets for the intake manifold. i did everything right and now it wont start... i used a noid light test kit to test the injector pulse. it took about 2 or 3 cranks before the noid light lit up and started pulsing a very dim orange light. is this normal?? if so i have no idea what could be wrong. i have spark. any answers or ideas will be greatly appreciated. thanks

1st, check to see if you have B+ (battery) on 1 side of the injector connector with the key on. The ECM pulses the ground side of the connector with a reference from stator in the distributor, but since you have spark, I doubt that is the problem. Have you checked fuel pressure?

RE: WONT START!! HELP!!
i meant to type fuel filter not pump.. but anyway, i do have plenty of pressure. i did the noid light test today again and it barely, barely lit up. then it didnt at all. there is a switch inside the distributor that i inspected today. i read that it times the injector pulses. i think its called a hall effect switch or something like that. it looked shoddy so im gonna get a new one tomorow and see how it goes. im just praying my ecm isnt shot. if it is does anyone know that price range for one?? thanks so much for the help
