Look at the label on the inside of the door.Depending on the year and if it is BONE stock,if your car came with 275/ZR45 tires on 9.5 inch wheels, you have a Z51 car. Also, turn your steering wheel lock to lock.If it only takes 2 and a quarter turns,it is a Z51.Anything more and it could be a Z52 or base suspension car.My 96 is not a Z51 car,but when I bought it it already had the silver five spoke wheels. All four are 275/ZR 17's.I replaced them with the Grand Sport wheels. You know the big 11 inch rears with the 315 series tires. Also, whoever had this car before me changed the rack and pinion to Z51 spec. All I've done is put a Borla cat-back,Baer rotors, the intake with the 3 K&N's in it,throttle body airfoil,Accel furl pressure regulator, and all the major service the car required. It has 108,000 miles and runs like a new car.

My suspension looks identical to spanners. My front end is lower also so???? I have no stickers on the inside of my door so is that bad or what? My vette is automatic but it does not have any coolers that I know of so I guess its base.

Default 85 corvette

Alright guys so i got an 85, so far fully restored body and i just put all super pro bushing in the front and rear, batwing, dog bones, strut rods, control arms, basically all of it. I got heim joints front and rear. Before replacing shocks, i had bilisteins all around, my front sway is 30mm and rear is 24mm, from what ive read the base model doesnt have these so im thinking its a z51 package but the center console lid has no numbers, any other ways to tell?

measure your sway bars, if i remember correctly the z51 in 86 had a 30mm front 22mm rear and the Fe1(base) had 26mm and 20mm

you could cross reference the 3 digit code stamped into the springs, HMZ would be the z51 springs in 85. but things could have been changed at some point
