"LOW COOLANT"
All:
Just flushed out my coolant system and now I am getting a "Low Coolant" warning. It is full of fresh fluid and I'm wondering if anyone has any advice on how to get the sensor to "see" the new fluid. I'm assuming it is a sensor that is stuck or something? I've tried the tapping thing on the lid.....still getting it. Thanks for your help.

RE: "LOW COOLANT"
The procedure is listed in the factory service manual, so you might want to pick a set up (see http://temp.corvetteforum.net/c5/ken...rtspage1.shtml). Many of the newer vehicles require that multiple bleeds are opened during the refill process. I normally have the dealership drain and refill my newer vehicles, primarily because I have a hard time getting rid of the old coolant.
Good luck.

The advice to get a set of servic e manuals is good, however. If you plan on doing much of anything yourself other than parking and looking at it they will pay off. I bought my set from Ecklers about 3 years ago for about $300. Three big volumes (about 8 inches thick altogether). They have come in handy several dozen times I never would have anticipated.
