Low coolant light
My "87" low coolant lite comes on right after start up-stays on about 5 minutes-when temp reaches about 185 it goes off an stays off till next cold start up.
It does'nt over heat-stays in proper temp range, even on very hot days.Collant leval is good-boggles the mind..lol-thinking sensor?Any input will be appreciated.

Beautiful car, my friend!
It's the twin sister to ours.
Yeh, if your levels are fine, then I would have to believe the problem lies in the sensor. I will defer to our local experts here, but if it were me that's where I start the hunt....

When you first start the car, unplug the sensor, ground the wire and see if the light goes out. If it does, more than likely the level sensor is bad. Also, check your fluid level at the radiator, not the overflow.
