Default Low coolant light

1987 "vert"
My low coolent light in thedash display will say "low coolent" when car is first started.Light goes out after 5 or 10 minutes of driving.
Temp gage shows car running cool,hi 180's to mid 190,s under normal use.On hot days at idel, highest its ever read was around 225.Fan kicks in,temp drops as it should. But it'll still say's low coolant at first 5 or 10 minutes.Coolent level is good.
Thinking bad sensor.Any suggestion's would be appreciated.
Also,where is sensor located?

I have a 87 also had the same problem. It was the sensor. It is on the passenger side of the radiator at the top. Easy fix and cheap. Don't have to drain any fluid or anything.

I replaced the sensor (twice) in my 89 and after driving it for a month the light still comes on. There must be a relay somewhere in that mess that causes this.
