Default 04 shock replacement / F55 delete

I have an 04 with F55 ride control. I replaced the shocks with Bilstein. Does anyone have a success story of deleting the F55 / 80 MPH speed limitation? I know the 03 & 04 ride control is different from the other C5's. I've heard both yes and no with the following devices; GM Tech 2, Using resistors 3, 5, &10 ohm, some saying that I need a good tuner to remove the F55, and some saying that with the 04 you're just stuck with magnetic ride control shocks. I've asked the guy on youtube called Toys4life, A&A Corvettes, C&S Corvettes, & MCR Corvette and no one seems to have a definitive answer. I would like to think I can just measure the ohm resistance on the stock shocks and install a proper resistor but I'd like to hear from others here on their wins or fails. Thanks

Welcome to the forums. GM engineers and designs are not always user friendly. I read an article where the F55 code gets disabled. they were using a GM Tech 2 scan tool.(or it was GM style tool,) It was on Corvettesalvage.com 2003 to 2013 Corvettes, and instructions have a certain way to do it. You can buy a scan tool for about $260 (It is not a GM tool) but it does the same thing. Or have a good shop with a tool should be able to do it for you. (maybe) Hope this helps.

Drove a 05 corvette in 06 with the F55 option and thought it drove compared to a C-3 like a Cadillac. Very impressive, $1700 option a little priecy but well worth it most people say.
