You will lose the availability of the ride control unless you buy the specialized shocks that use the factory actuator. It could possibly cause an engine code to light as well. BK

I had a 85 vette that didnt have this option and it drove great. I just cant see spending $600 or 700 dollars on shocks. My cars not a show car and never will be. Its a driver that i put alot of miles on and injoy. It has 114500 miles and runs great and gets great gas mileage. I dont need to go around corner at high speed. If i can put a good set of regular shocks on the car thats what id like to do.

You will get a "service ride control" on the DIC. You have the option of either removing the bulb or disconnecting the module in the storage comp behind the driver's seat. If you decide to disconnect the module let me know & I can send you an article with instructions on "how too".

Hi - I am interested in the "how to" article you reference in this response. I also have a "service ride control" light on in my 1994 corvette and wish to disconnect it. My e-mail address is mjweaver2005@comcast.net. Many thanks, Judy
