i've got a question for anybody who knows. found an '04 vette convertible, triple black, that has titanium wheels. all the other wheels i've seen on this car have been polished aluminum. it actually says "titanium" on the wheel. the wheels are duller in appearance, not shiny, and they aren't silver but more of a pewter or dull matte gray like. I'm wondering if these wheels were an option in '04, or if a prior owner got them off another vette. they are vette wheels, they have the vette insignia and they look exactly like the shiny wheels, only the dull color is different. any info would be greatly appreciated. thanks, peterb.

 

What you describe may be the stock painted wheels that came with the base model. If I had not selected polished aluminum, I'd have the wheels you describe. I think my upgraded wheels cost me $1200 extra.
