Default 97' Oil presure @ 129?

My engine oil pressure gage's needle is buried.
The DIC gage has it pegged at 129 PSI.
Sometimes my gas gage will drop to zero when I have plenty of gas. Sometime my DIC reset button continually beeps as it resets any display area I might go to.

Other than the car being possessed has any one heard of this kind of weird things with a 1997?

I read the car manual and even some of the shop manuals and can't find any trouble shooting that might help.

If any one has some info it would be greatly appreciated.......(I may just get a bigger hammer)

Thanks
Joe

The fuel gauge problem your referring to is a well known issue in our cars. It could be a faulty fuel pump or more likely, sulfur buildup from using cheap gas. Now I'm not saying your cheap it's just that these units are real sensitive to this. I had the same problem in my 98, and have been able to fix the problem, and heres how i did.
I started using nothing but high octane chevron gas, and also followed my first 4 tank fulls with a Techron additive. During this time the problem was getting less and less, and now I no longer have this problem, so this was an easy fix.

As far as the oil pressure issue, you could have a voltage issue here, or possibly a bad sending unit. It's really hard to tell. Do a google search for this or continue to check the forum here, atleast you will be able to narrow it down some.

Also with all these things going on at the same time here, it could possibly be some bad wiring in that dash, maybe a bad ground...something else you may consider.
Good luck
