My car has been to the shop for a total of 21 days in the last 3 months and i have spent almost $1000, but it still does the same thing. I start the car, i put it in reverse or drive, start moving and then my car dies? I do not know why and my mechanic cant figure it out. Has this happened to anyone else? What do you think the problem might be?

 

This sounds like a classic case of column lock failure. Have you had your column lock disabled? Does the digital display show anything when this happens? If it is a column lock issue, see if your local Chevy dealership will install a block-off plate at no charge.
