He has had it for about two months, and yes, he asked the dealer for tech support regarding the wires and dealer said, you will have to bring it in, we cant help you other than that. he replied that all he wanted to know was which color wires, the ones under the hood were different than the haynes manual. again the dealer rep said the same, so neighbor doesnt want to deal with him again. I will tell him to try another dealer unless you can help me/him. no mods done that he can see or is aware of. everything seems to be on the up and up.

hmm..how about this...check with a different brand of repair manual? perhaps chiltons, and see if it is the same as the haynes manual? if so...someone has obviously changed something. where did he buy the car? so the car literally fires just fine, then dies immeadiately? i know that lots of people have had problems with the key security system...possibly it could be that?

I talked with him tonight and he thought another manual was a good idea. yes it fires right up and lasts for about two or three seconds. he has a security system and did the proper checks for that and it passed the test. he checked the fuel pump pressure in case it may be that, and it was 49#. it is supposed to be a mimimum of 46 or 47#. other than that, he is lost, still looking for more info and/or help. he says thanks.
