Default Abs brake issues

I'm looking to purchase a C5 vette but keep reading about the ECBM failures and that you cant fix them . Is there a "better" year to purchase that has fewer ECBM issues. Early better than later or vice versa??? Or are all C5 years affected?

I believe 98s were the first year to get active handling. 98-2000 C5s had hard-potted EBCMs and are difficult to repair. Neither dealerships nor anyone else sell new replacements.

2001-2004 C5s have soft gel-potted electronics and are repairable by ABS Fixer and one or two other companies. absfixer.com charges $150 and give a lifetime warranty, I believe.

Here's my DIY removal procedure for 2001-2004 C5 EBCMs:
