Default AC problem need help!

Hello all.........

I recently got back from a 3 hour trip and my AC worked just fine. The next time I drove my car the AC would not work. When I press the AC button it blink several times and nothing happens. No AC.

I read somewhere that this could be cause the charge is low not allowing the compressor to kick on.

Arethere any other ideas that anyone can provide in case that's not the issue. I drive my car as a weekend car so it sat idle for 6 days untilthe next weekend....but like I said earlier it worked fine prior.

Thanks in Advance!!!

Default RE: AC problem need help!

Not saying this is the problem, but can you check the outside temp reading and see if it is correct? My C5 00' temp sensor was reading about 30 degrees less than the temp outside which resulted in the AC thinking that it was still winter time and when the outside temp is less than 37 or so degrees, the AC does not work. If that is not it, then your assumption that low freon could be the cause. Phil
