I just bought a Pioneer AVIC-d3 that I will be fitting in this weekend. I did read over the audio articles but I couldn't find a straight answer. Can I wire up this headunit to work with the factory BOSE system?

 

I believe you need an adapter which Corvette Central used to carry. But I just checked their website and apparently it's been discontinued!

It essentially took the speaker outputs of an aftermarket HU and split it into drive for the subwoofers and other speakers in the Bose system.

I need to check the other sources for this as I'm planning on swapping out my HU in my '02 Z06
