Default B&M Ripper Shifter Trouble

I just installed my B&M Ripper Shifter and it is really hard to get through gears especially reverse. Is this normal and I just need to beef up or is something wrong?

I have an '02 Z06 with the B&M and it's stiff but easy 1-4, but 5th is a BI***! Reverse is a ***** OUT OF H***!!!

Hope that helped!

Yep thats about how mine is. Just making sure im not the only one. Thinking about taking it out id much rather not have the performance if it cuts into the fun factor.

B&M also has a slightly longer-throw, softer-shifting shifter that you would probably like better.

It took several months for mine to wear in to where it is smooth, but it is grteat at what it is, which and it is really a drag shifter, made for the 1-->2, the 2-->3, and the 3-->4 shifts. For example, anytime you shift "forward" it wants to go into 3rd unless you concentrate -- this is bad if you want 5th, or are downshifting for a corner and trying to get 1st. Similarly, mine likes 4th when I want 6th and I have to strongly push to the right, hard, to force it into 6th. Reverse is not a struggle but I really have to want it to go there.
