Looking to put new exhaust on my 98. Been checking out a lot of clips on YouTube but really not finding the right sound. Looking at doing a mod on pipes right before the mufflers. Cutting 1 1/2in hole and welding turn downs there. Seen it on YouTube. About closest I've heard to what I like. What's on your rides and what was cost?

 

If the exhaust is going to exit under the car then I don't think that's a good idea.
I had a friend with a small block Chevy pickup and removed the mufflers and left the cats. It sounded okay up to 30 miles per hour and then the drone became unbearable.
