Default Chrome wheels

Have a 2002 C5 with chrome wheels. I tried to polish them but they still look a little cloudy in some areas. Is there something that needs to be done first before you polish?

Thanks

Are you sure they are chrome and not polished aluminum? If they are polished aluminum, they will dull a bit after the clear coatwears off. Chrome wheels should be rigorously polished with semichrome or similar chrome polish. Of course, make sure they are perfectly clean before you polish them.

Scrub it down with car soap and a toothbrush buff them out with a towel then polish em. I do that on my wheels and they shine very nicely in the sun.
