Hi,

Iwould like to know what the part is between the transmission and the differential. I am replacing my differential and there is a bearing on the main shaft with plastic housing, and the other is right below that one all metal. It looks similar to a wheel bearing. Not sure if the bearings are shot. should there be any play? any help would be great. 1999 FRC with 6speed trans. The part I speak of, looks like part of the tranny and reminds me of a transfer case.
I need the name of these bearings so I can replace before I put it back together.
