Driveway Ramps
Hello all, we just moved into a new home. The end of the driveway has a steep, for a corvette drop off before you get to the road. I’ve tried taking the car in at various angles but to no avail. The end of the driveway measures 10ft across and 2ft to the road. The ones I’ve seem online are no where near 10ft unless I but multiple units. Any advice would be greatly appreciated as I’m really damaging the front end.
Thanks, and Happy Easter to all!

Is this something that contractor could take care of with a little concrete work? It sounds like it's steep. Corvettes are not known for ground clearence. If not there is one option of placing a piece of plate steel to cover it. Maybe 3/8in thick, they can make as wide as you want, have metal blocks welded to the under side of the plate to keep it from moving. Or maybe grating, have that fitted. Most towns or city's have Fab shops somewhere around. Google it, Have them measure it build it and install it can't be to bad on price I wouldn't think. It could be slick when wet. There is another option of placing asphalt in the swell to level it up. There are a lot of asphalt companys out there that use a recycled asphalt (RAP) in the new asphalt and it's cold. They often sell it for the same price of 3/4in aggregate. once placed it stays very well. Or you can do the hot asphalt, you might want help with that, Its more work, like cement.
Thanks for the info, unfortunately this community does not allow permanent fixtures so I am truly hoping to find a ramp of some type that I can just lay at the end of the driveway. I have found them, but so far none anywhere near ten feet. Was just hoping someone on this forum had the same problem. Again, thank you for your response.
Ok , I think I know what you are talking about. Sorry I had a different picture in my head. I have seen where cars have issues with the rounded concrete curb to the asphalt, this is what you must be referring to. I have seen where you place a rubber ramp in the rounded gutter to eleminate the dip. I believe the ramp is made from recycled tires and you can buy them at length. They have small channel that carved in the bottom that allows water to continue down the gutter. I'm not sure who makes them but someone does. they look like they work well and are not permanent. they lay in place. This must be what you are speaking of. They don't do the tapered concrete driveways in subdivisions alot anymore.
